Israel Opens 1,464 Caregiver Jobs for Nepalis; Monthly Salary 3 lakh plus

Kathmandu, September 8, 2026: The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has opened applications for 1,464 Nepali workers to work as auxiliary workers/caregivers in long-term care facilities in Israel under the bilateral labour agreement between the governments of Nepal and Israel.

According to the official notice, the demand includes 1,132 female workers and 332 male workers. The monthly salary has been fixed at NIS 6,443.85, which is roughly equivalent to NPR 323,000, depending on the prevailing exchange rate.

  • Initial Contract: 1 year

  • Maximum Employment Period: Up to 5 years

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must be Nepali citizens aged between 25 and 45 years as of the final application date. The minimum physical requirements are 1.5 metres in height and 45 kg in weight.

Applicants must also meet the required education and training criteria. Candidates who have completed at least Grade 10 and studied ANM or CMA-related subjects for at least 15 months, or those who have completed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification along with at least three months of caregiver training from a Nepal government-recognised training institution, may apply.

Except for specified ANM and CMA qualifications, candidates under other educational categories are required to have at least three months of caregiver training. Applicants who studied under foreign boards or universities must submit the required 10+2 equivalency certificate.

Applicants must additionally:


  • Have at least one year of passport validity remaining on the application date.
  • Not have previously worked in Israel.
  • Not have a father, mother, husband/wife, son or daughter currently residing or working in Israel.
  • Be physically and mentally fit.
  • Be free from specified diseases including tuberculosis, hepatitis, syphilis, gonorrhea and AIDS.
  • Be physically capable of performing caregiver duties, including lifting heavy items/persons where required.
  • Not have substance-abuse problems.

English Language Requirement

Applicants are required to submit the Cambridge Upskill English Test certificate issued through CIIN International Qualifications Pvt. Ltd., Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, as designated by Israel's PIBA.

The minimum required scores are:

Reading – A2 | Writing – A1 | Speaking – B1 | Listening – A2

Due to an upgrade of the Cambridge Upskill English Test system, candidates who need to take the test will be able to sit for it from September 21, 2026 onward.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates must submit their applications online through the Department of Foreign Employment's FERMS portal at ferms.dofe.gov.np.

The application period is 35 days, beginning on September 8, 2026, with applications accepted until 11:59 PM on October 12, 2026.

  • Passport
  • Police clearance/character certificate showing no criminal record
  • English language test certificate
  • Required academic and training certificates
  • Signed confidentiality waiver
  • Self-declaration regarding height, weight and caregiver training

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information and documents are genuine. False information or forged documents may result in cancellation of the application and legal action.

Important Notice for Previous Applicants

Candidates whose applications were approved under the earlier vacancy notice and whose names were subsequently published by the Department do not need to apply again, provided they have not crossed the age limit of 45 by the new application deadline. Their previously approved applications will be forwarded to PIBA for the Name Check process.
